About Us

Who Are Autoweb?

Autoweb was founded by Peter Fairfield and Richard McCombe in 2004 with the aim of generating sales enquiries for car dealers through the internet.

In the early days, this led to the creation of Autoweb.co.uk which is a used car search engine. Through the activities of the SEO team we were able to generate excellent visibility for our dealers’ stock through search engines. In addition, by developing our own industry-leading feed management system we were able to handle thousands of in-coming and out-going used car feeds which we still do to this day. In addition, we developed our first car dealer website platform that has evolved and improved to the platforms you see today.

In 2008, we acquired our first multi-franchise client and since then, whilst investing heavily in the independent dealership side of our business, we have brought in specialist teams from other industries including digital marketers who have managed huge budgets in order to tailor our franchise dealer and automotive manufacturer offering. This has led to the development of our Unity 17 website platform and many other exciting initiatives still to come.

Today we have a large and happy client-base with clients ranging from small independent dealers to car supermarkets, single-franchise dealers, large dealer groups and vehicle manufacturers.

Through the years we have grown exponentially, as has our customer base. but we remain true to the ambitions that we had on day one – to generate maximum sales leads and excellent customer service to our clients.
