Facebook is testing the radically different Explore Feed in 6 countries , Slovakia, Sri Lanka, Serbia, Bolivia, Guatemala and Cambodia which will be rolling out globally this week. No end date has been given to this test.

Most people around the world can see it in their bookmarks and discover new content, however in these 6 countries it works differently.

All posts by pages are moved from newsfeed to Explore Feed with the main newsfeed now just friend and sponsored posts, so when you log in to Facebook all you see are posts from your friends and ads, you’ll have to click Explore Feeds to see posts from your followed pages.

There are consequences to this change with pages seeing dramatic drops in organic reach and some media pages in Slovak reporting 4 times fewer interactions since the test began.

There are bugs e.g. most users don’t see posts from people they follow who are not their friends, these are hidden in the old pages feed section. If you want your Facebook page posts to be seen in the old newsfeed you’ll have pay!
